About Pinebarrow
Real equipment. Local experience.
Pinebarrow helps Central Georgia landowners turn thick, neglected acreage into property they can use. Owner Cole Mercer stays involved from the site walk to the field work.
Our story
Built around the ground we know.
Cole grew up outside Dublin around pine plantations, cattle land, farm roads, and hunting properties. His father worked in agricultural equipment repair, and machinery was part of everyday life long before it became Cole's business.
After working in utility and right-of-way equipment operations, Cole started Pinebarrow in 2017 with a used track loader and brush cutter. Early projects were pasture edges, fence lines, old roads, and overgrown areas around rural buildings.
The company grew as customers asked him to open more of their acreage. Forestry mulching and excavation equipment expanded the work Pinebarrow could handle while keeping the owner involved in estimates and operations.
How we think
Clear what needs to go. Keep what makes the property better.
Usable land does not have to mean bare land.
Owner involved
Cole personally reviews significant acreage projects and remains involved in the field work, not just the estimate.
Local knowledge
We know the growth, the ground, and the weather patterns of Central Georgia — and how they change the job.
Right machine, right ground
Mulchers, excavators, track loaders, and grapples matched to the scope, so the method fits the property.
The equipment
Dedicated forestry equipment.
Clearing goes better when the machine is built for it. We run dedicated forestry equipment rather than adapting general-purpose machines to the work.
- Forestry mulchers — grind brush, saplings, and small trees into mulch in a single pass.
- Excavators — take out stumps, roots, and heavier material when the ground needs to come clean.
- Track loaders & grapples — move material, open lanes, and finish scopes efficiently.
- Brush cutters — handle lighter growth and keep cleared ground open over time.
Who we work with
Based in Dublin. Serving Central Georgia.
We work with rural homeowners, acreage owners, farmers, hunting families, clubs, and small builders across the region. The common goal is simple: make the property more usable.
Most projects are within about 45 to 55 miles of Dublin, with larger acreage work taking us farther when the scope supports it. See the communities we serve on our service area page.
