Land clearing · Forestry mulching · Acreage improvement
Forestry mulching and selective land clearing for acreage that has become too thick to walk, hunt, fence, build on, or maintain.
Clear the brush. Open the ground. Keep what matters.
Good land can disappear
Privet, briars, and thick undergrowth can take over fast—hiding fence lines, closing trails, and turning usable ground into a tangled mess. We help you reclaim it.
See the Difference
Representative concept: selective underbrush removal while keeping mature trees.
Our services
From complete land clearing to selective mulching and property improvements, Red Hollow helps open the ground you need while respecting what should stay.
Clear brush, saplings, and thick understory while leaving selected mature trees and processed mulch onsite where appropriate.
Learn More
Open homesites, farm edges, and usable acreage without treating every project like a bare construction site.
Learn More
Reclaim trails, shooting lanes, food-plot access, and recreational ground while keeping useful habitat and cover.
Learn More
Recover fence lines, establish practical trails, and reach parts of your property that have grown shut.
Learn MoreSelective by design
The goal is useful ground—not unnecessary destruction. Before work begins, identify the mature trees, privacy, creek edges, and wildlife cover worth keeping.
“Clear enough to make the property useful. Do not destroy what makes the property good.”
Our equipment
Red Hollow's fleet is focused on forestry and land management, with support equipment to keep a project moving when access, debris, roots, or drainage need attention.
Forestry CTL
High-horsepower forestry configuration with an FAE mulching head for thick understory, saplings, and difficult growth.
Support Loader
Grapple, heavy brush cutter, root rake, and bucket support for cleanup, debris handling, and clearing.
Compact Excavator
Handles limited stump work, culverts, trail crossings, drainage, roots, and access problems encountered during clearing.
A thoughtful approach
We selectively clear to improve your land—preserving mature trees, privacy, creek buffers, and the natural character that makes the property worth owning.
Our Approach
For hunters and property owners
Strategic clearing can improve access, visibility, shooting lanes, and food-plot routes while leaving the cover and timber that matter.
Hunting Property ServicesProject concepts
Representative scenes show the kinds of property conditions and finished outcomes Red Hollow is designed to address. They are concept imagery, not claims of completed client work.
Reclaim access and open ground while preserving mature shade trees.
Selective clearing around future house and driveway areas.
Reopen old routes and connect practical access through acreage.
Service area
Based in Forsyth and regularly serving rural properties throughout Monroe, Lamar, Butts, Jasper, and Jones counties.
Most projects are within roughly 50 miles. Larger forestry mulching, hunting-property, and multi-day acreage projects may justify travel farther.
Owner-operated since 2016
In this concept profile, Caleb Mercer started Red Hollow with one used track loader after years around utility and grading equipment. Today, he still reviews customer photos, walks most larger estimates, plans machine access, operates forestry equipment, and oversees the final result.
The business grew by becoming more capable—not by putting distance between the customer and the person responsible for the work.
Straight answers
Every property is different, but these answers cover the questions that usually come up first.
Have a different question? Tell us about the propertyProjects range from individual homesites to several dozen acres. Density, terrain, access, and the amount of ground being treated all affect the scope.
Yes. Selective clearing is central to the work. Trees and areas to preserve are identified before clearing begins.
No. Mulching can remove understory and smaller growth while preserving larger trees. Complete clearing may also require excavation, stump removal, or debris work.
Processed vegetation generally remains onsite as ground mulch where conditions and project goals make that appropriate.
Not automatically. Forestry mulching and stump excavation are separate operations and are scoped separately.
Most projects are within roughly 50 miles of Forsyth. Appropriate multi-day acreage projects may justify travel farther into Central Georgia.
Yes. Wide property photos, closeups, videos, parcel maps, aerial screenshots, and approximate acreage help with the initial conversation.
No. Start with how you want to use the finished property. A property walk can help determine what should stay and what should go.
